Sales Gallery – Tata Housing Limited
This project was envisioned as a temporary yet impactful pavilion, designed to serve as the sales and marketing interface for a residential development by Tata Housing Limited. With an emphasis on speed of construction, sustainability, and adaptability, the structure was designed to be modular and demountable, allowing for potential reuse of its components in future projects.
At the heart of the pavilion lies a double-height central volume, which functions as the main sales gallery. This expansive space was conceived to create an immediate sense of openness and grandeur upon entry. The centerpiece of this area is the architectural scale model of the proposed development, serving as the focal point around which the interior experience unfolds.
Flanking this central zone are lower-roofed blocks that house auxiliary functions. Toward the rear are offices and meeting rooms, while the sides accommodate the pantry and washrooms, ensuring operational efficiency without compromising spatial elegance.
A key feature of the design is the floating roof, which spans across all enclosed volumes. This roof, elevated above the primary enclosures, allows for natural light to filter through, bathing the interiors in soft, diffused daylight and enhancing the pavilion’s sense of lightness and transparency.
Minimalist in aesthetic, the design emphasizes clean lines, open volumes, and a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. Strategically placed water bodies near the seating areas contribute to the calming ambiance and further enhance the experience for prospective buyers.
This pavilion stands as a temporary landmark, balancing functional marketing needs with architectural sophistication, while staying true to principles of sustainability and reusability.
